Enrolment Process
Eligibility
We welcome applications from families of all backgrounds. However, to enrol at DSM, your child must:
- Have completed a 4-year-old kindergarten program
- Be at least 5 years old by 1 January of the year they wish to begin Foundation Year (exceptions apply to children who turn 5 by 30 April and have passed our School Readiness Assessment)
- Take a language assessment if they are starting in any year level above Foundation Year

Attend an Interview
- To apply for a Foundation Year level place, we will invite your family to meet our Principal Mrs Bernice Ressel 18 months before your child starts school.
- This will give you a chance to ask questions, discover more about us – and ensure DSM is the perfect fit for your child.
Receive an offer
If your application is successful, you will receive a written Offer of Place.
To accept the offer you must complete and return the signed enrolment agreement and made the following payments within 21 days:
- A$1,400 non-refundable enrolment fee
- A$3,500 bond (which you will get back when your last child leaves DSM and all fees are paid)
Confirmation
After we have received the signed enrolment agreement and the deposit, we will send you a written confirmation of place.
