Lower School Admissions Process

Preschool

Upon receipt of your application and fee, you will be able to schedule the following via the Sacred Heart Admissions Parent Portal. Virtual Parent Interview: Starting after Labor Day, we will be scheduling parent interviews. Virtual Student Visit: Starting in October, we will schedule virtual student visits.

Virtual Tour and Information Session: In addition to attending our Virtual Interactive Lower School Experience on November 10, Throughout the fall, we will also host virtual information sessions.

Kindergarten

Upon receipt of your application and fee, you will be able to schedule the following via the Sacred Heart Admissions Parent Portal.

Virtual Parent Interview/Daughter Meeting: Starting after Labor Day, we will be scheduling parent interviews which will include a brief meeting with your daughter.

Virtual Student Visit: From September 8 through December 1, you will be able to register for and schedule the Thinking & Engagement Virtual Assessment (T&E) which will be required for the 2020-2021 Admissions season. The T&E is a child-friendly set of activities designed specifically to be administered virtually to Kindergarten applicants.

Standardized Testing: There is no standardized testing required for Kindergarten applicants.

Grades 1-4

Upon receipt of your application and fee, you will be able to schedule the following via the Sacred Heart Admissions Parent Portal.

Virtual Parent Interview: Starting after Labor Day, we will be scheduling parent interviews.

Virtual Student Visit and Assessment: Starting in October, we will schedule virtual student visits and internal assessments.

Standardized Testing

• Grade 1: There is no standardized testing required for Grade 1 applicants. Instead, Sacred Heart will administer our internal Grade 1 assessment.
• Grades 2-4: The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) - Primary Level is strongly encouraged for students applying to grades 2-4. You can learn more about this test. The deadline for submitting ISEE scores is January 8, 2021. While the ISEE is encouraged, it will not be required for the 2021-22 applicants. Our admissions office is committed to working with applicants who are unable to access the exam.
