ABA accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, subject to availability of spaces. We aim to make the application process a straightforward experience.

A few things to Note

• For entry into Grades 1-12, we request all school reports from the past two years, transcripts, standardized test scores, educational evaluations and behavioural consultation reports, as applicable. Documentation should be translated into English and attested by the appropriate Embassy.
• The previous schooling is not a prerequisite for entry into Kindergarten. However, school reports or student information will be requested for all schools, preschools or nurseries the student has attended. Kindergarten children must be toilet trained.
• Applicants to Grade 12 must be transferring from an IB Diploma School.
• The ABA Administration reviews all student files, and student support staff may also be consulted before a place is offered.
• Please note that we do not hold spaces and places are not confirmed until you receive an official letter from our Admissions team.

Step 1: Check the Student Grade Placement Chart
As an International School, we accept students from all over the world. ABA’s practice is to place students with their age-appropriate peers. We are a non-selective School, providing a genuine opportunity to all students who seek to achieve more than they believe they can, with the right guidance and support. With this in mind, we cater to students with various academic backgrounds, which means our Admissions Team must assess each child’s application.

The table below provides the grade for which your child is age-appropriate for Early Childhood, Elementary School, Middle School, and Secondary School. Still, the final grade placement is dependent on the full review of all required and requested documents.

Step 2: Apply Now
We make a point of getting to know our students well - their interests, aspirations, and areas for growth - both in and outside of the classroom as the more we know, the more we can support your journey at ABA. Complete our 'Enrollment Form' to provide us with more detailed information.

Step 3: Documents Required
ABA offers rolling admissions meaning that if we have space, we are happy to consider your application now, or as soon as you are ready - so apply early.

To apply, please have these documents ready digitally.

• Copy of Passport
• Copy of Oman Resident Cards (if applicable)
• Current and previous year school reports (Must be officially translated into English and notarized)
• Official school records and/or transcripts for past 2 years.
• Copies of Vaccination Card and Covid-19 Vaccination Certificates (if applicable)
• Provide any and all formal and informal documentation identifying learning and behavioural needs (if applicable).

Step 4: Submit Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of 75 OMR is required for each application submitted to ABA. This fee does not guarantee placement.

If you pay via bank transfer, please email a copy of the transfer receipt to the Registrar, along with the name of the applicant/s so that the payment be applied appropriately.

Step 5: Evaluation
Students applying for Kindergarten 1- Grade 5 may be invited to visit a classroom as part of the admissions process.

Students applying for Grades 3-12 will be scheduled a placement screener at the appropriate time to provide the school with baseline skills equivalent in language and mathematics.

After Applying

Confirm Placement
Once a place is offered and accepted, please return a signed copy of the Declaration of Acceptance and Placement. The Admissions team will send this document to you at the time a spot is being offered.

10% of the annual tuition fee is required to confirm acceptance of your child. This fee will be deducted from the first semester fees when the student enters the school. This fee is non-refundable unless a notice of withdrawal is communicated to the school in writing before May 31.

Waiting List
Students are admitted according to the following priority list:

1. Faculty children
2. Siblings of children already attending the school
3. Returning students
4. Overseas transfer students
5. Children of Alumni of the school with no viable alternative
6. Local transfer students with no viable alternative
7. Others

Admission Decisions
The Head of School's decision in all matters relating to admissions is final.

All admissions are granted on a probationary period of ninety days. (School Board Policy 7.2.1)
