Sirius College (Eastmeadows)

To apply for a place at Sirius College is easy. You can complete and submit your online application from home or at the campus if you need assistance.

Selection Criteria

The school makes decisions to offer a place to applicants based on, but not limited to, the following items:

• The result of enrolment assessment(s),
• The educational history of the student,
• Assessment of personal characteristics and approach to academic work,
• The student’s and the family’s willingness to support the School’s Terms and Conditions of Enrolment,
• Whether he/she has siblings already enrolled in the school,
• Children of graduates are given priority,
• Children of permanent staff members are given priority,
• Financial stability to make regular payments of tuition and relevant school fees,
• The residency status of the applicant must be eligible for the study.

Enrolment Process

Step 1 - Online Application

Open Period
All applications received within the Open Period will be charged an application fee of $55. The application will be processed if the vacancy is available. If no vacancy is available, your application is put on hold, and you will not be charged the application fee. When a vacancy is available, you will receive a notification to confirm your interest and will be required to make the application fee payment to proceed with the application.

Closed Period
All applications received within the Closed Period (between 1st of June and 31st of October) are placed on hold, and no application fee will be charged. When a vacancy is available, you will receive a notification to confirm your interest and will be required to make the application fee payment to proceed with the application

Step 2 - Assesment

All applicants from Foundation - Year 12 will be required to sit for an assessment on the scheduled date by the school. All correspondence will be communicated via email.

Step 3 - Interview / Observation Day

The interview is a critical part of the enrolment process. One or both parents must attend the College with the child.

In addition to the assessment, the Foundation applicants will also be required to attend an Observation day that is a study day before the school offers a place in order to observe applicants to finalise the assessment of the application.

The school may decide not to offer a place for an applicant without inviting the applicant to the interview. Other applicants will be invited to attend an interview with one of their parents on the scheduled date by the school. An email and SMS message will be sent to the applicant with the details of the interview.

Step 4 - Offer of Placement

The relevant campus may offer a place as per our selection criteria and the information collected throughout the application process based on available vacancy.

Step 5 - Acceptance of Offer

If the applicant fails to finalise the enrolment by the due date (usually 3 weeks after an offer is sent out) provided, the application will automatically be cancelled, and the school will make an offer to other candidates.

Step 6 - Confirmation of Enrolment

Once the enrolment has been finalised and the enrolment fees are paid, the information and submitted documents will then be reviewed. A notification via email and SMS will be sent to parents to advise that the enrolment has been confirmed.

Applicants for some of the year levels may require to make their subject selections after their enrolment is completed. Parents will be informed of the procedure.

One of the parents must attend our Parent Induction program before the applicant starts studying at Sirius College.
