In light of the pandemic, Canterbury is taking all precautionary steps necessary to protect our students and applicants. Until further notice, classroom visits will not be available to our applicants. Campus tours will be offered as virtual tours only.
Applicant Instructions
Logging in to our centralized admissions platform to complete an application will simplify the process for your family and provide access to Cougar Campus, our information portal.
Creating a Cougar Campus account will allow you to:
- Complete an admission application
- Send teacher recommendation forms to your students' teachers via email
- Upload required admission documents
- Monitor the progress of your child's application
- Receive admission decisions in a timely manner
PRE-K3
- Submit an application with a $100.00 non-refundable application fee
- Complete the Parent Questionnaire, which will be provided by the Admission Office
- Schedule an individual assessment with the Admission Office by calling (239) 415-8945
Please note: Placement into Pre-K4 the following year will be determined in accordance with age-appropriate, developmental readiness. All developmental readiness observations will take place during school hours while the child is in attendance in our Pre-K3 program. Matriculation fees are waived for Pre-K3 students and will be assessed at the Pre-K4 level.
PRE-K4 - GRADE 1
- Submit an application with a $100.00 non-refundable application fee
- Email the Pre-K4 - Grade 1 Teacher Recommendation Form to your child's teacher for completion (forms accessed on your student's checklist)
- Grade 1 applicants: Provide a copy of the student’s most recent Kindergarten report card
- Grade 1 applicants: Submit the Release of Student Records form signed by a parent
- Schedule an individual assessment with the Admission Office by calling (239) 415-8945
GRADES 2 - 4
- Submit an application with a $100.00 non-refundable application fee
- Provide a copy of the student's most recent report card
- Provide a copy of the student's previous year's end-of-year report card
- Email the Grades 2-4 Teacher Recommendation Form to your child's teacher for completion (forms accessed on your student's checklist)
- Submit the Release of Student Records form signed by a parent
- Grade 4 applicants must complete and submit the Student Questionnaire using black ink only.
- Schedule an individual assessment with the Admission Office by calling (239) 415-8945
GRADES 5 - 11
- Submit an application with a $100.00 non-refundable application fee
- Provide a copy of the student's most recent report card
- Provide a copy of the student's previous year's final report card
- Provide copies of the student's most recent standardized test scores (reported in stanines and/or percentiles)
- Email the recommendation form to your child's Math and English teachers for completion (forms accessed on your student's checklist)
- Submit the Release of Student Records form signed by a parent
- Applicant must complete and submit the Student Questionnaire and essay using black ink only for (Questionnaire for Grades 5-6) or (Questionnaire for Grades 7-11)
