Our Pre-Kindergarten program runs for 90 minutes every Wednesday during the school term.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN (SUBJECT TO AN OFFER OF PLACE FOR KINDERGARTEN)
Children are enrolled in the Pre-Kindergarten program in the year prior to them commencing Kindergarten, which can be before they turn three years of age.
All children, no matter their age, attend with a parent or guardian in a playgroup situation for Semester 1. Then, in Semester 2, when all Pre-Kindergarten students are three years and over, they gain a bit more independence and attend as a student under the supervision of the School’s teaching and non- teaching staff. This is a great way to prepare them for Kindergarten at School.
KINDERGARTEN
This is a four-day program that runs from 9am to 3pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. *Please note, it is a requirement under current WA legislation that any student commencing in Pre-Kindergarten and/or Kindergarten are fully immunised and be up to date with their immunisations.
YEAR 5 (DUNCRAIG CAMPUS ONLY)
While many families decide to start their child at a new school for their Secondary years, we find there is great benefit integrating students into the life of a school in Year 5. This gives students the chance to find their place, make new friends and familiarise themselves with the new school environment before they move into Secondary.
YEAR 7
Year 7 marks the start of Secondary School. St Stephen’s School runs special programs aimed at helping Year 7 students transition into the world of Secondary study and timetables. Year 7s are pastorally supported in a number of ways including being placed into a Homeroom that assists them in their integration and sense of belonging in the Secondary School.

The formal Selection Process for Offer of Places commences approximately two years prior to entry; however, we are always open to new enquiries and work with families to welcome them into our School community.
A current non-refundable fee of $100.00 (including GST) per child is payable with your Application for Registration. Lodging an application does not guarantee an Offer of Place in all cases.
For our main intake entry levels, Orientation and other information will be mailed to families approximately 2 – 3 months prior to your child’s commencement date.
If you attend a Christian Church at least two times per month and have done so for the past 12 months and you wish your family’s Christian commitment to be considered, please arrange for your local Minister to complete the Christian Church Reference below and forward to the School. Church References may be checked with the relevant Ministers.
To withdraw a student from the School, at least one complete term’s notice must be given in writing to the Principal or at the latest by close of business on the first day of the term you wish to withdraw. In the event of not enough notice being given, one quarter of the annual School Fee will be payable in addition to fees payable up to the date of withdrawal.
