Each year more than 1,000 students apply for a spot at Suffield Academy. This strong interest allows our admissions office to identify talented students who will have a significant impact on our community. Most importantly, we seek enthusiastic people who will join a student body that exudes spirit and pride in the school.
Suffield Academy is a special place. Please take a moment to scroll through our website, flip through our viewbook, read about our engaging academic offerings, and see some of the amazing accomplishments made by our students. Here you will find happy people supporting each other as part of a vibrant and warm community. Our school will provide you with challenges and the tools needed to tackle them head on.
When you walk through the doors of Fuller Hall you will be greeted by a member of our admission team. You will then meet your admissions representative. They will explain the schedule for the day and answer questions about the tour, interview, application process, and life at Suffield Academy. Following a brief introduction, you will go on a tour with your student guide.
Visiting families tour our campus with a student guide who will introduce them to the classrooms, athletic facilities, dorm rooms, arts studios, and theater that we call home. This is also a great chance for students and families to ask the questions that really matter to them, as our student tour guides are the real experts.
It is our job as interviewers to help prospective students show us their best selves. We want each student to have a good interview, so we are in their corner from the start. Each student spends about 15-20 minutes with a member of our staff, and then the parent(s) have about 10 minutes with that same interviewer. Prospective families walk away realizing why everyone says Suffield Academy is a warm and friendly place.
