During the admission process, which begins at the end of August 2021, we accept online applications through the Ravenna platform, which allows families to manage multiple high school applications in one place. We are proud to announce that The Bay School has removed standardized testing from its admissions process. Learn more about the decision.
Step 1: Explore Bay
Complete your student profile on Ravenna. From the School Directory, select The Bay School of San Francisco and click Apply. You will then be able to register for Bay admission events.
Events are limited to prospective 8th grade and transfer families. Reservations are required and space is limited.
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Your Ravenna account will display a checklist for your application to Bay. Each step will be marked as complete by our office as your documents are received and processed.
A complete application to The Bay School of San Francisco will include:
Request transcripts from your school’s registrar. Official transcripts must come directly from your current school via online submission, email, or mail in sealed envelopes. You may print a copy of the request form through your Ravenna account. Your school may submit transcripts later than the application deadline, but applicants should submit their transcript request to their current school well before this deadline.
Recommendations can be requested within Ravenna and submitted by your teachers online. Please consult with your current school and use their preferred method to request these forms.
Step 3: Schedule Your Student Interview
Get to know more about Bay, and share more about yourself with us. Interviews are one-on-one and 25 minutes long. A student interview is required, and cannot be scheduled until the parent/guardian application is complete.
Step 4: Apply For Flexible Tuition
The Bay School is committed to serving a diverse population of students from every economic background. No one should hesitate to apply for admission to Bay due to lack of financial resources.
Applications for the Flexible Tuition Program should be submitted via FACTS. Visit FACTS for more information and to apply.
