All Admissions to Howardian Primary School are made by the City and County of Cardiff’s Admissions team. Please contact the team via Connect 2 Cardiff. At present the school does not have an official catchment area but the majority of our pupils come from our immediate local area. The Local Authority's admission policy is available from County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff.
It is our belief that a child will make progress in their learning if they are motivated to learn and this motivation comes from the child seeing the school and home working together. We therefore visit every family at home before a child takes up a Nursery place at Howardian. This also enables us to establish a bond with each child in the safe, secure home environment and this reduces their anxiety when they come to school to take up their part time place. We have a 48 place Nursery. This means that we have up to 48 children who come to school at 9am and leave at 11:30am and we have another group of up to 48 children who come to school at 12:45pm and go home at 3:15pm.

Parents often ask how they can prepare their child for school. We find that children are always at a great advantage when they can:
