Welcome! We’ll say it again even though it’s right above in BIG bold type. But we mean it. It’s our pleasure and our privilege to greet you with open arms and we are here to help you however we can.

Students—This is not a test, even though it may feel like one, and we hope that OUR admission process will feel more like a partnership and less like a hurdle race. It’s our job—and our passion—to help you see the greatness in yourself, figure out what drives you, and help you find your path forward in high school.

We get it. We understand. You are excited about newfound freedom...about all the incredible courses and teachers who will push you academically...the sports...the opportunities to travel...the hundreds of new people you will get to know—and learning who among them will be your new best friend or someone who you'll be connected to for the rest of your life.

But you may also be a bit intimidated and anxious about leaving your friends and living away from home, or commuting to school each day and trying to straddle a social circle at home and at school. Where will I live? Will I like the food? How will I make friends? Will my old friends still like me? What will I do on the weekends? Will I be smart enough? Will I be challenged enough? Are the teachers nice? Will I like the school? Can I still be close to my parents? Will I fit in?

Or maybe you are already at another boarding school, or a local high school, but it’s not the right fit. Maybe you want something more, or something different, or you have a better informed perspective than you did when you began your search for the right school. Maybe also, English is not your first language and American culture seems far different than anything you’ve experienced.

We get it. We understand. And we are here not only to help you find the answers to these questions, but to help you see uncertainties as opportunities and to help you make the most of the four INCREDIBLE years that await you at Fountain Valley School.

So, explore our website, binge watch all our videos, follow us on Instagram, read reviews from our students, parents, and alumni. We hope you will be as inspired as we are by this incredible place and community. BUT, most importantly, we hope you will reach out and contact us so that we can get to know YOU and turn questions into answers.

We’re excited that you’re considering Fountain Valley School and this is where your journey starts. We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis and please know that we are here to help!

Come Visit

While we have two Visiting Days during the school year—Columbus Day and Martin Luther King Day—we can always customize a visit for you any time based on your interests. Students and parents have an opportunity to go to classes and meet students, teachers and coaches. If you’re planning on being a boarding student, you can even spend the night in a residence house. While you’re here, you can interview with an admission officer. If you’re unable to visit campus, give us a call at 719-391-5251, and we’ll do all we can to give you a feel for Fountain Valley School.
