The moment you step on campus, you will feel it: Williston is more than a school, it’s a community—a caring fellowship of teachers, advisors, coaches, and classmates. Our job is first to understand what motivates you, then to guide and support you in pursuing your interests and discovering new ones. In our classrooms, playing fields, and in our dorms, we inspire our students to live with purpose, passion, and integrity. Because at Williston, what matters is not just what you will accomplish as a student, but who you will become as a person.
Step 1: Request information
To learn about Williston’s academics, arts, athletics, and more, please fill out our inquiry form, and we will mail you a viewbook and get you into our system. Once you do this, you will receive instructions on how to create a username and password to access our Admission Portal, which will allow you to track your progress along the way.
Step 2: Visit campus & interview
Please call (413) 529-3241 or email our admission team to schedule your Interview via Zoom. Zoom interviews are available during the weekdays and select Saturdays, see the schedule below. All interviews should be completed by February 15 to ensure a March 10 decision.
Step 3: Take the SSAT
In recognition of the challenges presented by the pandemic, Williston will not require applicants to submit standardized test scores when applying for Fall. In lieu of an applicant submitting standardized testing, we will require an additional recommendation from a third teacher. We also recognize that standardized testing is a strength for some of our applicants – applicants are welcome to submit any scores and educational testing as part of their application. For proper class placement purposes, we will still require students who do not identify English as their first language to submit results from the TOEFL or a similar English language proficiency test. We also ask students from countries where it is being administered to submit an SSAT score as well. If you have studied in an English-speaking school for three or more years, that requirement is waived.
Step 4: Submit your application
You can apply to Williston using two common applications, Standard Application Online (SAO) or Gateway to Prep Schools. Completed applications are due in the Admission Office by January 15.
All applicants to Williston are required to complete the following requirements as part of their application.
Step 5: Revisit during admitted student days
Decision letters will be mailed from the Admission Office on March 10, with email notification being sent on the afternoon of March 10. Accepted students are invited to one of three Admitted Student Programs during March and April, with detail to be sent directly to admitted students and their families on March 10. The format of these days are to be determined at a later date.
Step 6: Enroll!
Williston’s enrollment deadline is April 10. Decisions are made on a rolling admission basis for any student who finishes the application process after March 10. We encourage applicants who plan to apply after March 10 to call us directly at 413-529-3241 regarding the availability of spaces for the coming academic year.
