We are pleased that you are considering Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School for your child. The Admissions Office recommends prospective families tour and submit an application for admission the fall preceding the year of intended enrollment.
January 15: Priority Application Deadline: Applications submitted after this date will be considered based on availability of space.
February 1: Deadline to complete applicant files. This includes submission of test results, school records, teacher recommendation(s), and completion of family interview.
Mid-March: Admissions decisions are sent to students applying by the priority deadline.
Step 1: Submit The Admissions Application
Complete an online application. The priority deadline for submitting applications is January 15.
Step 2: Register For A Placement Test
Standardized testing for applicants is optional but preferred. While testing provides additional information to help the admissions committee make decisions that are in the best interest of the applicant. We won't penalize families who may be uncomfortable with a testing environment or unable to access testing.
Please note that Saint Thomas' Episcopal School will offer ISEE testing to applicants on January 30, and we will be a closed test site this year. This means that applicants to STE for the next school year are the only ones allowed to register for testing on our campus. Applicants to grades 5th through 12th should receive a testing code within seven days of a completed application submission. If you would like to test on our campus, we strongly recommend you submit a completed admissions application by December 1. and register for ISEE testing by mid-December. Note that testing availability is limited due to social distancing protocols, and therefore not guaranteed. STE also accepts ISEE scores from any other testing location.
Step 3: Submit Transcripts
The transcript release form should be submitted to your child’s current school in early December so that their first semester grades are included in the official records the school sends STE.
We will accept official transcripts emailed directly from an employee at the applicant’s current school
Step 4: Provide Recommendation(S)
Teacher recommendations may be emailed directly from a teacher or other school employee
Step 5: Attend A Family Interview
After submission of your child’s completed admissions file, you should schedule a family interview in your password protected online admissions portal. The interview will be conducted using video conferencing, and the applicant and one or both parents should be present for the interview.
Please Note
For files completed after the published deadlines, the Admissions Committee will render decisions as it is able provided that available space remains in the desired grade of entry.
