Ysgol Y Dderwen is a primary school which provides Welsh medium education for children aged between three and eleven years old. The school will admit up to 45 children each academic year. Children start in the Nursery Unit within the Foundation Phase at the beginning of the term following their 3rd birthday: Autumn Term: Spring Term: Summer Term: 1st September - 31st December 1st January- 31st March 1st April.
All children wishing to apply for a place at the school, regardless of age, must do so by registering electronically on the Carmarthenshire website, The authority will decide who will be selected using specific guidelines. More details on the county website.
