All prospective families are encouraged to come to visit our campus during the school year in September - May. Submitting an inquiry is the first step in our application process. All prospective families interested in learning more are encouraged to fill out an inquiry form using the links below.

For prospective families interested in one of our nine Centers of Excellence, there is a specific inquiry form with additional information that must be completed (please select corresponding inquiry form below).

*Please Note: our system requires each legal parent to provide a separate, not shared, email address for communication purposes as well as access to our online application system. Any parent listed as “No” for “Custodial Parent” will not receive username information nor will they be granted access to our system.

Application Items

We seek both recommendations and standardized testing results to help us learn more about prospective students.

Recommendations

We require three recommendation forms from a current:

  • English teacher
  • Math teacher
  • Principal/Counselor

Report cards/transcripts for the school years are required for all applicants.

Students applying to grade 12 and PG must provide all records from grade 9.

Standardized Testing

  • Students applying to grades 6-9 are asked to submit their most recent state testing. If taken and scores are available, the SSAT may be submitted instead.
  • Students applying to grades 10-12 and PGs are asked to submit their most recent SSAT, PSAT, ACT Aspire, SAT or ACT scores.
  • All international applicants whose first language is not English are asked to take the TOEFL/TOEFL Junior, IELTS or Duolingo English Test (DET) and provide SSM with official score reports. The DET is reliable and user-friendly, and students can take the test on any platform. Follow this link to access the DET.

Visit Campus

We welcome a campus visit throughout the year.

Thank you for your interest in joining us at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School for a campus visit. A campus visit is the best opportunity for you to meet our community, as well as experience first-hand our college-preparatory curriculum and co-curricular offerings.

We strongly recommend that you schedule a visit to campus while classes are in session during September-May. Our office is also open during the summer months if you are unavailable during the school year. Visits include a tour of our campus, a classroom experience, and an interview conducted by a member of our admissions staff.
