Request information

If you are a student interested in learning more about Millbrook, please complete and submit our online inquiry form, email the admission office, or phone us (845-677-6873) to request information. Schedule a virtual tour

In light of the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing orders in the State of New York, we have temporarily suspended campus visits and tours. Contact the Admission Office via email, admissions@millbrook.org, to schedule a virtual student-led tour and an interview with a member of our admission staff.

Register for the appropriate test

Register to take the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) through the SSAT website or by phone (609-683-4440). Millbrook’s SSAT code is 5092. Millbrook also accepts the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) and the PSAT and SAT (for students applying for grades 11 and 12).

All students for whom English is not their first language should also take either the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test.

For more information about the TOEFL, visit the ETS website; Millbrook’s TOEFL code is 0851. Please note that as of August, TOEFL offers My Best Scores which will provide a combination of an applicant’s best scores. Click here for more information about My Best Scores.

Millbrook School only accepts scores submitted electronically by the IELTS test center. No paper Test Report Forms will be accepted. An institutional code is NOT required. Please contact the test center directly where you took the IELTS test and request that your official test scores be sent electronically using the IELTS system. Complete the application

We prefer the SSAT Standard Application Online, but we will also accept either the SSAT Standard Application Online or the Gateway Application Online. Please note that we prefer the SSAT Standard Application Online. The application deadline is January 15th.

Ask for Reference Early (but not before November 30th)

Complete Financial Aid Application

If you are applying for financial aid, please notify the Admission Office and review the instructions for that process on the admission section on our website (millbrook.org). Completion of the Parents’ Financial Statement (sss.nais.org) and submission of current tax information are requirements of the process. Financial aid applications are due by January 31st.

Notifications

To be considered for an admission decision on March 10th (the common notification date for boarding schools), all components of the application must be received by January 15th. All candidates and their parents will be emailed a Millbrook School website user name. Please check the emails you provide to the admission office regularly. Your Millbrook School logon will allow you to log on to the Millbrook School website and view important information, learn about upcoming events, receive official notes from the Millbrook School Admission Office, and check the progress of your application. When you log on for the first time, you will be directed to set up your password. Please feel free to contact Diane Massarone (dmassarone@millbrook.org) if you have any questions about your user name. Decisions will be posted through this logon and will also be mailed on March 10th. We ask that families let us know of their intention to enroll before April 10th with a signed contract and enrollment deposit. Admitted students will have the opportunity to return to campus for our re-visit program in early April. Millbrook will accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the spring, subject to availability of space.
