Financial aid at Kiski is awarded based on demonstrated financial need. To determine financial need, Kiski uses a nationally standardized system for financial aid offered by a platform called Clarity. Clarity collects a family’s financial information and performs an initial analysis, providing an estimated need to The Kiski School. The Financial Aid Committee at Kiski uses this estimated need as a guideline in determining financial aid eligibility and awards. It is The Kiski School’s policy that each parent, regardless of custodial arrangements, must complete a separate financial aid application through Clarity. Both domestic and international families must apply for tuition assistance to be considered and submit proof of household income and expenses to Clarity.
Application Timeline
Applications received after these deadlines are considered if space is available.
Standardized Testing
Kiski does not require standardized testing as part of the application process. We firmly believe a student’s academic achievements, recommendations, personal statements, and interview speak more clearly about their ability to be successful at Kiski.
Students wish to optionally submit standardized test results (ISEE, SSAT, ACT, PSAT, or SAT) are welcome to do so. Kiski uses tests information both for gauging admissibility and to assess where a student might need advanced programming or other forms of academic support. Students who choose not to submit a standardized test are given equal consideration in the admission process. If you are unclear what is the best choice for you, contact a Kiski admission counselor for a recommendation.
Exception: Students applying for the Andrew Wilson Merit Scholarship are required to submit an SSAT or ISEE score.
Schedule Your Visit
One of the best ways to get your first sense of what it is like to be part of the Kiski community is to come to visit our beautiful 350 acre campus. While you’re here, you will get a personalized tour of our facilities and have the opportunity to meet teachers, administrators and some of our current Kiski students. We also suggest that we use this visit to conduct the interview which is a required portion of the application process.* Please speak with your admission counselor to discuss the timing of your visit. We look forward to meeting you in person.
*If you are not able to come visit us in Saltsburg, arrangements can be made to conduct the interview in an alternative way. In some cases, we might actually be able to meet you in your hometown. While we hope to welcome you to our campus for a visit, we can also schedule a phone or web interview if it is more convenient for you.
Scholarship Opportunities
The Andrew W. Wilson Merit Scholarship is awarded each year to one rising freshman who has demonstrated that they have led a life of character, integrity, leadership, selflessness, and academic excellence. The admission committee selects the recipient of this prestigious scholarship based on their academic record, their teacher and special interest recommendations, scores on either the ISSE or SSAT exam, and several examples of leadership and service within their community. The awardee receives full tuition, room, and board for four years provided they remain in good standing with the School.

Naval Academy Hopefuls
The Naval Academy Foundation was established in 1944 and Kiski has been enrolling Naval Foundation candidates since the late 1960s. Our success rate with them eventually enrolling is unsurpassed and it certainly speaks for itself. Midshipmen are regular admits to the Academy while others come from Foundation referrals. The Admission Office at Kiski partners with the USNA Foundation to craft a curriculum that will prepare candidates for the Naval Academy and for the rigors they will encounter once they matriculate to Annapolis. Our Foundation candidates enroll in our regular post-graduate program, complete five to six core classes and have the opportunity to participate in Kiski’s athletic program and other extra-curricular activities.
