When you apply to WMA, you are in the company of hundreds of other applicants from many nations with diverse backgrounds and interests, who all carry their own unique culture, traditions and customs. Students will benefit from your background just as you will benefit from theirs - and special bonds will begin to form. When you leave the Academy and venture out into the world, you will carry these global experiences and friendships with you.
To be included in our first round of decisions, applications must be submitted by February 1. Applications submitted after this date will be evaluated as space permits.
Schedule an Interview
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a WMA Titan, we encourage you to schedule a virtual student-led campus tour and interview with an Admissions Associate. To learn more, please visit the Admission section of our website. International applicants, please also visit our International Students page.
Submit an Application
Our online application must be completed by the student and submitted to the Admission Office with a non-refundable application fee of $75 (domestic students) and $150 (international students). In lieu of the WMA application, we will accept the SAO (SSAT) and Gateway to Prep common applications.
Standardized Testing
Although it is beneficial for WMA to receive current standardized testing for all of our students, that testing may not be accessible to everyone for the admission season. If you have access to testing, we highly encourage you to submit your scores. For students who do not have access to the standardized testing, the testing requirement will be waived. We do not require the SSAT for Middle School day applicants.
We will continue to require the TOEFL or IELTS for international students, unless the student has been studying in an English speaking school for three or more years.
Transcripts
Please make sure to include grades from the current year along with a two-year history.
Three Letters of Recommendation
These must be from your current school. We require recommendations from a current English teacher and Math teacher as well as a third recommendation from a counselor, principal or a personal reference.
Financial Aid
If applying for financial aid, please read the Financial Aid section of our website regarding the process.
Our Admission Committee will review the above information in order to assess whether our academic, artistic, and athletic offerings and leadership opportunities are a strong match for each applicant. Decisions are sent March 10.
Families unable to use the online process to apply to WMA, may download the application and supporting documents here. Teacher Recommendations file needs to be used by all online applicants.
