Admission Process

The admissions and application process is ongoing. Applications are accepted on a rolling-admission and space-available basis. Windermere Preparatory School admits students without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, national origin or religion.

The Admissions Office is committed to providing personalized attention and clear communication through each step of the admissions process. Appointments are required for campus tours and the Admissions Office looks forward to helping to schedule your upcoming visit!

The requirements and deadlines toward admission vary by grade level. Please select your child's grade level below and please see the documents attached at the bottom of this page applicable for Early Childhood through High School:

  • Early Childhood- Grades Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten
  • Lower School- Grades One through Five
  • Middle School- Grades Six through Eight
  • High School- Grades Nine through Twelve
  • Boarding Program- Residential Students, Grades Seven through Twelve

Early Childhood Applications

Grades Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten

A selective and competitive admissions/registration process is ongoing. Applications will be accepted on a rolling admission and space available basis. Windermere Preparatory School admits students without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, national origin, or religion.

An Admissions Committee will review all information gathered in the admissions process. Test results, as well as the admissions decision, will be shared with the parents in a timely manner.

Early Childhood Admissions Process

Complete and Submit the Online Application

Submit Grade Reports And Teacher Recommendation Information

  • Pre-K3 Applicants: If the student has attended a pre-school or a day-care program previously, provide a school assessment and we'll request a teacher recommendation

Admissions Testing

  • Pre-K3 Applicants: Students will not be required to sit for a formal test, however, students will be required to meet with one of our teachers before the commencement of classes
  • Pre-4 and Kindergarten Applicants: Students will need to sit for a formal assessment completed one-on-one or in a small group setting with our admissions team.

Additional testing information can be provided through the Office of Admissions.

Lower School Applications

Grades One through Five

  • Families must submit the current Grade Report and up to two final prior year Grade Reports as well.
  • If Grade Reports are international, an English translation from the school or certified translator is required.

  • Students will need to submit or sit for a formal standardized assessment
  • Additional testing information can be provided through the Office of Admissions.

Middle School Applications

Grades Six through Eight

Windermere Prep accepts a variety of standardized/ national achievement testing to include: NWEA MAP, ISEE, State Standarized Testing, IOWA, Sanford Achievement Test.We also accept the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) for middle school applicants. Please visitssat.orgfor additional information. Testing should have been taken within a year of application.

High School Applications

Grades Nine through Twelve

An Admissions Committee will review all information gathered in the admissions process. Test results, as well as the admissions decision, will be shared with the parents in a timely manner.

High School Admissions Process

How to Apply For Boarding

We encourage you to apply early, both to secure priority consideration and to ensure that your student arrives on time and with proper visa documentation.

The admissions committee utilizes the following information to carefully evaluate each candidate:

  • Nord Anglia Education Common Boarding Application OR Online Boarding Application Form Here
  • Transcripts for the current year and previous two years of schooling
  • One official copy in the original language
  • Corresponding certified, literal translation in English (if applicable)
  • Standardized test results from TOEFL, TOEFL Jr., IELTS, Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT) or other approved standardized tests
  • English Teacher recommendation (from your current school)
  • Math Teacher recommendation (from your current school)
  • Copy of the student’s passport
  • Bank statement or proof of financial support (if requesting an I-20)
  • Student Interview - Once application is received, admissions will reach out to your family to set up the student interview.

When completing your application, please contact na.boarding@nordanglia.com with questions.Once your completed application has been received, an interview will be scheduled with an International Admissions Coordinator. Once your application and interview are completed, most admissions decisions are communicated within 48 hours. There is no fee to apply.
