Apply
We are now accepting applications for the current school year! We cannot wait to learn about your interests, passions, aspirations, and not only how MSA may be a great fit for you, but how you could contribute to our wonderful community! Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete our admission process.
Student Application Process
There are two ways to apply to MSA. Students may apply using Miller School of Albemarle’s online application or the SSAT Standard Application Online (SAO). Miller School of Albemarle’s SAO school code is 5095.
Questionnaires For Students And Parents
- A part of our admission process is getting to know the applicant and his or her family. Please read through the questionnaire sections of the application and answer the questions. This part of the application helps us know how we can best serve your child and allows us an authentic look into why your child is applying to MSA.
Campus Visit & Interview
- We want you to experience MSA in-person! Contact our admission office today to find a day and time that works for a campus visit. If you are unable to visit our campus in-person, we invite you to take part in a video interview/tour of campus.
Recommendations/School Records
- Submit three (3) teacher recommendations: English, Math, School Report Form (Counselor)
- Recommendations are distributed and submitted online and are available through the application portal. Please follow up with the teacher who you are requesting a recommendation from to ensure that they received the email. The SAO application also allows teachers to submit recommendation forms electronically.
- Submit transcript(s), attendance records, student conduct records. These may be uploaded by the family or the school directly to the SAO or Miller’s online application. These records may also be sent directly to Sydney Thomas, Assistant Director of Admissions at sthomas@millerschool.org.
Ssat Testing
- It is preferred that students applying for grades 9 or 10 should take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). List of SSAT test dates.
- If your child is unable to take the SSAT or submit test scores please contact our admission office to discuss alternative assessments.
- Students applying for grades 11 or 12 may submit any of the following standardized assessment scores: SAT, ACT, or PSAT.
