At Marshall School, we know that every student starts from a unique place. What success looks like for each student will be a little different. Our job is to guide them along their journey as they grow, explore, and change. We believe the process is as important as the product, and that how you learn is as important as what you learn. Our students are active participants in their education.
Marshall is where courage, experience, purpose, risk, curiosity, innovation, challenge, and community are celebrated.
We're here to help you with this important decision.
Choosing an independent school is one of the most important and life-changing decisions for a student. We also know that for some families it can be a challenging decision. Marshall School's Admissions Department is here to walk you through each step in the process.
Applying to Marshall School involves a few simple steps. From your first phone call to your acceptance packet, each part of the process is designed to begin building the relationship between families, students, and our school.
Thanks for taking the time to fill out an application to our school. Our application partner, Veracross, is where the button below will take you. They'll ask for a bit of information in building your application, but it is entirely private and safe. If you have any questions while applying, they have contact information inside the application, and you can always reach us at [email protected].
Family Meeting
Visiting with Marshall's Director of Enrollment helps the school get to know your student as quickly and deeply as possible. The meeting also allows parents and guardians to get questions answered about Marshall's academics, extracurriculars, and community. These meetings can be coordinated via Zoom or in-person if you find yourself in Duluth, MN.
Please contact the Admissions Office at [email protected] or (218) 623 1982 to schedule a visit.
Student Interview
The interview is an important way for the admissions team to learn more about the prospective student, and for the perspective student to learn more about Marshall. The student interview can be scheduled during an optional campus visit day. Many prospective students also interview at the same time as their parents.
Contact the Admissions Office at [email protected] or (218) 623 1982 to schedule an interview.
Admissions Test
All applicants take a standardized admissions test, which helps us not only garner important information about academic skills, but also to find comparisons with other students entering or already enrolled at Marshall. Students with a wide range of scores on the admissions test are accepted to Marshall School.
Marshall School hosts a variety of specific testing dates throughout the year, but we are flexible enough to make other dates work.
Please contact the Admissions Office at [email protected] or (218) 623 1982 to schedule a testing session.
