Western Pacific Kindergarten

A child must be at least 2 years and 8 months old to apply for admission. Interviews are scheduled in November each year. Orientation Day is arranged for parents and students every September.

Application Procedures

Submit the completed application form with the following

• a copy of the child’s birth certificate
• a copy of the immunization record
• two recent passport-sized photographs
• three self-addressed and stamped return envelopes

Remarks

• Free Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme is applicable, children who are eligible to the programme do not need to pay school fee.

Application Procedures

Application fee

HK$40. The application fee is non-refundable.

Interview arrangements:
Parents will accompany their children in small group activities. Teacher will observe the children’s performance, behaviour and emotional responses. All applicants will be given an interview opportunity. Translation will be arranged for the Non-Chinese speaking families. For enquiries, please call at 2367 6144 or email to info@wpk.edu.hk.

Release of results

Candidates will be informed individually by post on November 18. Please contact us in case you do not receive the notice by November 25.

Centralised Registration Dates:

• January 5 to 6（Thursday to Friday） 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
• January 7（Saturday） 9:30 am to 12:00 noon

Registration procedures:

Pay the refundable registration fee $970 and submit “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (referred to as “RC”) or “Kindergarten Admission Pass” (referred to as “AP”).

Registration fee will be refunded to parents in September. Late registration will NOT be accepted. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify our school in writing immediately. The registration fee is non-refundable. Our school will return the “RC” / “AP” as soon as possible. Upon returning the “RC”/“AP” to the parents, our school wil no longer reserve a place for the child.

Admission Criteria:

• First priority for the siblings of our current students and alumni
• Living in the same district of our school premises
• Agree with our school’s philosophy

Students on the Waiting List:

Students not admitted may apply for the waiting list. They will be admitted according to their order on the list in case there are still vacancies after the registration dates. Parents will be notified the result by phone if the application is successful.
