University of Buraimi (UOB) (Admissions Guide)

To apply for UoB Master/PhD Programs, please prepare the following :

Fill out the application form ( Available in ARD Office ).
Submit the original certificate of your Bachelor's degree or a certified equivalent (approved by MOHERI).
Submit copies of your passport and ID card.
Provide 2 colored passport-size photographs.
State your professional plans and career objectives as required in the application form.
Submit 2 satisfactory reference letters from academic professionals and/or employers.
Pay a non-refundable fee of RO 5.00 for your UOB student ID card.
Pay a non-refundable admission fee of RO 110.00.

Original OMANI (General Education Diploma, GED) certificate, or equivalent approved by the Omani Ministry of Education
Original certified equivalent to the OMANI General Education Diploma (GED), approved by the Omani Ministry of Education (for certificates obtained outside Oman)
A copy of a valid passport and identification card (ID)
2 colored passport-size photographs
Copy of the birth certificate
Original certificate of good behavior
Pay RO 5.00 non-refundable fee for the University’s ID card
Pay RO 110.00 non-refundable fee for admission

General Education Diploma with the following conditions attached in the table
A student who does not pass the college admission test (passing score is 50%) can write a request to the Admission and Registration Department for a retest. The application is examined and, if it is found to be reasonable, the student may be given another opportunity to take the test.

Admission criteria for experienced applicants who don’t have a General Education Diploma

Conditions

The applicant must be over 25 years old.
The applicant must be employed.
The qualification should not be less than ninth grade.
Work experience should be in a relevant field and no less than 6 years.
The applicant must have attended a minimum of two training courses.
The chosen specialist should be suitable to the nature of applicant's profession.
