Admissions Process

To apply to st. John’s you will need to:

Complete and Submit an Application, Which Includes:

  • Online application
  • Academic Form completed by a teacher from the student’s current school - Pre-K - Grade 12
  • Medical Information Form
  • Copy of birth certificate or ID
  • School reports for the current school year and previous two years
  • Dual Language Form (Grades 1-5, if applicable)
  • The results of any standardized tests (e.g., SAT, WIS, WIAT) that your child might have taken within the last five years
  • Any other relevant information (specific learning needs, psycho-educational reports, IEP, special programme/modified courses that your child might have followed)
  • Digital photo of each parent for campus access card - must be passport sized photo
  • Copy of the parent’s passport or ID (one only required)
  • Payment of the non-refundable application fee (1,000 Euro)

Recommended, but not required.

Interview

Interview in person, virtually or over the phone with Admissions or a relevant Principal.

Where appropriate, an interview may be required with the Academic & University Counselor, Guidance Counselor, IBDP Coordinator, Support Services Coordinator or the relevant Principal.

To reserve a place in the school we need to receive a completed:

Admissions Entry Criteria

St. John’s International School is an IB World School. Admission to St. John’s is open year-round to students of all nationalities, faiths, and backgrounds. At St. John’s, we are committed to meeting each student’s needs to the best of our ability. The final decision on acceptance and placement is taken based on the potential of the applicant to benefit from the programmes and educational services available.

Language Criteria for Admissions

English is the primary language of instruction throughout the school. We will consider those students who are not proficient in English if we believe that, over their projected time at St. John’s, they will be able to develop proficiency in academic English sufficient to enter the IB Diploma Programme. Grade 8 is the last year to which an absolute beginner English Learner is admitted to the school.
