Admission Process
The Canadian International School of Egypt (CISE) welcomes students from schools from all over the world and from within Egypt. Acceptance requires an assessment test in literacy and numeracy in grades 1-12 with independent learners given preference for admission to the inquiry based program.
Kindergarten applicants are assessed for readiness to learn skills. Student behavioral records and report cards from previous school are required and are considered in the admission process.
How to Apply
A new student applying for admission at CISE must follow the admission process as below:
- Complete the online application
- Once the application form is completed, all supporting documents below must be submitted to the Admissions Office:
- 2 final report cards from the previous school reports
- Original computerized birth certificate
- Photocopy of parents’ ID
- Application fees
- 6 passport size photos
- A photocopy of the student’s passport
- You will receive a CISE form, to be filled by the previous school and returned on assessment day – (Starting grade 2)
Please note, school documents presented in languages other than English must be accompanied by official translations.
- After your application has been processed, you will be contacted by the admission office with an assessment date and time for your child. There is a fee for the assessment.
- Admission assessments will usually take place on Saturdays and will involves teachers and administration from the school. A student questionnaire and parent interview may also be part of the assessment process.
- Kindergarten assessments are scheduled for 30 minutes
- Grades 1-12 assessments are scheduled for 90 minutes
- Applicants will be notified within 5 working days after the admission assessment whether or not the student has met admissions standards.
- In case of acceptance, parents will be requested to visit the school within 7 working days to fill the student package, pay deposit to ensure a spot at CISE for the following academic year.
