DIS is a KG–12 school providing education to a culturally-diverse community of students aged from 3 to 18 years old. DIS offers a curriculum that is student-centered and inquiry based following the guidelines of the US Common Core Standards in the core subjects.
DIS accepts students regardless of their nationality, religion, color, or race. English is the language of instructions in all subjects. Arabic language and Islamic studies are obligatory courses for all Arab Students. Students with foreign nationalities are eligible to take Arabic as a Second language (ASL) Islamic Studies in English (ISE), and Social Studies is English (SSE) if and when it is offered for their grade level.
The French Language is given to all students in Gr.1 – 11 and they are given the opportunity to choose between French and Computer.
Clubs are available after school for those who wish to take both disciplines.
The school is committed to a class size of 1:28 ratio; however, the school reserves the right to increase the size.
DIS will make every effort to enroll qualified students who fully completed the admission processes and had met the academic acceptance requirements.
Enrollment is granted to new students based on the following priorities, provided room is available.
The school reserves the right to place new students in any class it sees suitable in efforts to create homogenous sections.
