Since we are a community school, preference is given to families living in the Pinelands area.
Applications for enrolment are encouraged and accepted at any time, but due to demand and to avoid disappointment, we suggest you apply as early as possible.
The feel of a school is always so important. It’s not so much what there is, but how it makes you feel. Experience our pupils, experience our staff, experience what Cannons Creek is all about.
Complete an online application for admission, including the required documents (parent IDs, your child’s birth certificate and a copy of their most recent school report). A R450 non-refundable application fee completes this process.
Our Admissions department will confirm receipt of your application and your child will be placed on our waitlist. Please understand that waitlist preferences may be given to siblings of current students, children of alumni, and those living in the Pinelands area.
All applicants will be requested to undergo a placement assessment, in order to ensure the pupil’s academic competency for Cannons Creek School.
Following your family’s interview, the school may offer a place to your child. On acceptance of the pupil, the parents will receive a Letter of Acceptance together with necessary documentation including the Parent Contract. Before final admission parents are required to pay a R6500 non-refundable Enrolment Fee to secure their child’s place at Cannons Creek.
Once the paperwork has been returned, and the fee has been received, our Admissions department will let you know that your child’s enrolment has been confirmed. Congratulations!
We will send you everything you need to know about joining the Cannons Creek family with plenty of time before you begin your journey. Throughout the entire enrolment process, our Admissions department is here to help.
In Grade 8 we admit approximately eight pupils, so that our class sizes remain small – 20 per class in the High School, with two classes per grade. We also admit a few pupils into Grade 7, as our High School begins at this phase.
Grade RR admission assessments take place from April onwards, but we would advise submitting your application ASAP.
Pupils from the Pre-Primary School are granted automatic entry into the Primary School, and pupils from Grade 6 are granted automatic entry into the High School. The Principal has the right to refuse entry in certain circumstances such as payment record, disciplinary record and academic performance. Should there not be space, pupils’ names will be added to a waiting list.
Entry in subsequent grades will be subject to vacancies.
