Each year, Applications for Admission for the following school year for all grades will be received beginning November 1, or the first business day following that date.
This year Admissions Update Due to the high number of applications received, we are no longer accepting applications for Kindergarten, Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 for the Academic school year. Applications still being accepted for Grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
Kindergarten Interview Update: Thank you to all new families who have applied for Kindergarten. Interviews of selected applicants will begin. All applicant families will be notified of their application status by the end of January.
All applications and their supporting documents received on November 1 will not be processed as part of a “first come, first served” basis. Each application will be reviewed and processed according to space availability, completeness of the application form, student needs, category for student acceptance (see Admission Information and Procedures), and a final interview. We do not want to inconvenience parents and see families lining up and waiting for hours outside the school doors during the night. Lining up will not guarantee placement. For Grades 1-12 we do not know what openings are available until February current year, after currently enrolled families return their re-registrations for the acadamic school year. Interviews for Kindergarten applications will take place in January, Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Applicants for Grade 11 and 12: If the students most recent school is overseas, we require their transcripts to be evaluated at a cost to the parents. The evaluation organization is: International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES).
Kindly note: When submitting application documentation, staff is required to see the originals of identification documents, such as Canadian birth certificate, permanent resident card, and Canadian citizenship card/certificate. Please ensure to have these original documents available when submitting your application.
John Knox Christian School is committed to showing all applicants respect as image-bearers of God irrespective of their gender, race, culture, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity and expression.
