We welcome applications for all grades at the School. Our main intake points are Kindergarten, Grades 1, 4, 6, and 8.

Our application deadline has now passed. We understand wonderful families may begin to consider the School after our deadline. We are accepting late applications for Grades 2-11.

Please complete an application and all application requirements that are on the checklist. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview. Please contact the Admissions Office for any grade-specific requirements or questions.

The Application Process

Step 1 | Submit online application

We are now accepting late applications for Grades 2-11 and these reviewed on a space-available basis. Please complete the online application and all checklist items. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Kindergarten: February 10

Grades 2-11 Late Applications: ongoing until all offers are made.

Financial Aid is available for Grades 6–12. The deadline to apply for Financial Assistance is December 2.

Please do not delay submission of your online application, as supplemental materials can be submitted as received and uploaded online.

Step 2 | Submit supporting documentation

Kindergarten Requirements:

  • Any progress reports from daycare or preschool if received.
  • Character reference
    • Our first choice for a referee should be a classroom teacher (current or previous). Our second choice would be a coach, youth group director, cub-leader, or someone who interacts with this child in a social setting. We prefer not to receive references from one-to-one tutors or family friends.
  • Any additional documents as outlined and agreed to in the online application

All other applicant requirements:

  • Final report cards from the past two years
  • Current report cards
  • A drawing of something that makes you happy (Grade 1s only)
  • SSAT Character Skills Snapshot (Grade 6–12 only)
  • Character Reference Form (available online in the application)

Please note: only the requested documents will be reviewed in order to maintain consistency and fairness for all applicants. Please do not send additional items such as certificates, photos or additional reference letters. These items will be discarded.

Step 3 | Interviews

After an application has been received for most intake years, you will receive an email invitation to attend both:

  • A student and parent interview, and
  • A group activity

Applicants of non-intake years will receive an invitation for a group activity and then selected candidates will be invited for interviews.

Kindergarten Interviews: Selected parents will be invited for interviews during the week of March 30 - April 3. upon completion of assessment.

Step 4 | Complete testing

Kindergarten: In-house group assessment: In-house testing by emailed invitation during the week of March 12-20.

Grades 1–3: In-house testing by emailed invitation. (Grade 1s are tested during the week of January 7–10. Testing for Grade 2 and 3 is subject to space availability).

Grades 4–5: Write SSAT at any test location. Fall and January test results will be accepted.

Grades 6-12: Write the SSAT at any test location. Applicants must write the SSAT in last year. Test results through December will be accepted.

Step 5 | Admission decision

  • Kindergarten: Mid-April
  • Grade 1:Early February
  • Grade 4 and 6: March 6
  • Grade 8:February 20
  • Minor Intake Years:Rolling through mid-March

Applicants will receive one of three decisions: acceptance, wait pool, or decline. Applicants applying for Financial Assistance will also receive the outcome at the time of decision.
