Placement Process – Grade 8

Please visit the following link for all information pertaining to the Grade 8 online admissions.

Admissions Period: 25 June – 25 July

Once a parent has submitted an application online on the GDE website, the parent needs to submit the following documents:

**Proof of medical insurance is required for non-South African citizens.

• Due to COVID-19, the submitting of documents process will be different from previous admission years, as no parents will be allowed to enter the school to submit documents.

Uploading and dropping off of required certified documents

Option 1

Once you have completed your application on the GDE website, there will be an option available for you to upload the necessary certified documents required. If you have logged out of your profile, you are able to log in again and upload your documents. (This is prefered)

Option 2

If you are unable to upload your certified documents onto the GDE website, you are then required to place all necessary documents in an envelope. Please make sure your child’s waiting list number is on the envelope and a signature is visible across the seal of the envelope. There is a post box available at the main gate of the school where you may drop off your envelope. This box is emptied everyday.

Grade 9 – 11 Admissions

To obtain Grade 9 – 11 application forms for , please email enrolments@eghs.co.za, stating the grade you wish to apply. Parents will then receive an enrolment form that needs to be completed and scanned back.

Please note that during the Covid-19 lockdown period, parents will not be permitted on the school property to return completed forms.

Therefore requested documents are to be CERTIFIED COPIES and not just photocopies. All documents with (*) need to be CERTIFIED. If you have any queries, please forward them to enrolments@eghs.co.za
