Typically, students applying for a position in September will start the application process a year in advance. Families are encouraged to look at our website in detail and then come tour the school. Most of our interviews are conducted between October and February.
Following a process of research, reflection and consideration, RSGC has evolved our admissions process to one that more accurately reflects the RSGC approach to education while continuing to identify the type of student who will thrive in our environment. It is with this in mind, that we have elected to discontinue the use of the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) as a testing tool for admissions. The SSAT will be replaced with an RSGC-created evaluation process that will assess a variety of criteria including critical thinking and communication skills, literacy and numeracy. Our student-centered admissions process will continue to look at academic skills, aptitude, character and potential through school reports, in-house testing, interviews, and observations to provide a complete and personalized picture of each candidate.
