Step 3 - Video/Slide Presentation (High School Applicants Only)

We want to get to know you! In lieu of an essay or writing sample, we hope to let your creativity do the talking! You can submit your one minute video or a slide presentation directly to our admissions team based on these instructions.

We are here to support you through this process. Call the MVC Admissions team at 831-768-6191 for assistance.

International /Boarding Students

When MVC opened in 1926, 31 of its 45 students were boarding students. It reflected the school’s desire to provide a good education to students “regardless of whether they lived near or far.”

Through the decades, MVC has continued to draw learners from around the world. Today, approximately 10 percent of our high school student body are international students who live in our campus dormitories. International students live, study, and play within a community that provides support and supervision, while fostering independence and preparing them for university life. Our goal is to invite them into a community of care they can call home.

When boarding students are not occupying our residences, MVC dormitories are available for use by outside groups. MVC is pleased to work with organizations that host camps, seminars, and other special events. Our well-appointed dormitories and our beautiful campus setting make an attractive, comfortable, and safe amenity for partner organizations to offer their guests.
