The Academy of the Holy Family is a Roman Catholic college preparatory High School for young women in grades 9-12, accepting students of all faiths and cultural backgrounds. As a all-girls Catholic day and boarding school, we accept domestic day and boarding students and international students from all over the world.

The Academy of the Holy Family actively strives to achieve academic excellence, and we also are very proud of our “family” environment, which helps to nurture our students with the skills they will need for life. We are known for providing a safe setting for our young women, with smaller class sizes, allowing extra time for our students, so they can excel both in the classroom and in their everyday lives. With individual attention we help young women to expand their world and to reach their full God-given potential.

Apply

  • After having requested information and read over our materials, you are now eligible to begin the application process!
  • An application must be on file in order for a student to be considered for enrollment.
  • Placement testing for mathematics will be completed at the beginning of the school year.
  • All students who are accepted into the Academy and wish to enroll will be required to sign a letter of intention and place a non-refundable deposit of $1000 in order to assure their place in the Academy.

  • Freshman: Please have elementary school send 6th, 7th, and 8th grade academic, attendance, disciplinary records, and any standardized testing results

  • Copy of Baptismal certificate (if applicable)
  • Student Interview arranged with Director of Admissions via Skype or in person
  • Health forms

International Students will also need the following:

  • Affidavit of Support (Bank Statement)
  • Copy of passport
  • 1-20 from the Academy, including a $1000 processing fee (applicable towards tuition and refundable only if the student is denied the Visa from their home country, upon which the $1000 is refunded, less processing costs.)

Step 1: Application

Please fill out the Online Application below. There are parts for the Parent/Guardian to fill out and other parts for the Applicant to fill out. Please note that you can save and continue your application later.

Step 2: Registration Fee

Once you complete your application in the step above, send it with the other required documents, including our application fee: $100 Boarding Student/ $50 Day Student.

International Students must also pay a $1,000 processing fee (applicable towards tuition and refundable only if the student is denied the Visa from their home country)

Step 3: Required Forms And Documents

  • Please print and fill out the Release of Records form and give to your child’s current school.
  • Please print and fill out the Confidential Health History form.

Step 4: Health Forms - Parent/Guardian Signature

  • Emergency Contact Information/Consent Form
  • CIAC (Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference) Student and Parent Concussion Information Consent Form
  • CIAC Student & Parent – Sudden Cardiac Arrest Plan and Consent Form
  • Medication Policy, Agreement and Refill Medication Form – (for any student who will be taking Prescription and/or Over-the-Counter Medication while at school) – (Optional/If Applicable)
  • Over-the-Counter Authorization Form
  • Consent Form For Immunizations and/or School Physicals (For International Students)

For students with either a Religious or Medical Exemption for Immunizations. These forms can only be printed.

  • State of Connecticut Department of Public Health: Immunization RELIGIOUS Exemption Statement – MUST be signed by either a Judge or Family Support Magistrate; Clerk/Deputy Clear; Town Clerk; Notary Public; Justice of Peace; an Attorney licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut; Commissioner of the Superior Court; School Nurse.
  • State of Connecticut Department of Public Health MEDICAL Exemption Certification Statement – 1 page

Step 5: Health Forms - Physician Signature

Please complete the following forms after July 15th and send to Health Office. These forms should be taken with the student when she goes to have her School Physical Examination.
