Current Boarding Students
Boarding students need to pay a 10% deposit and fee to secure your place for next year. You are allowed to use a credit card for this in the finance office. Otherwise your parents can send it via wire transfer. The remainder of tuition is due by August 1. If your family wants to pay the entire tuition now (instead of two payments), please contact Mr. Erik Christenson.
The deposit and fee are due by April 15. For questions or information regarding the boarding re-enrollment process, contact Erik Christenson at 507.453.5102.
Current Day Students
You are all set and enrolled for next year! Last year you opted into continuous enrollment which means you're automatically enrolled at Cotter for next year. Your current tuition payment plan will automatically renew as well. If do not plan to enroll for next year school year you need to inform us by March 31.
If you need financial aid, you must re-apply for aid by April 15. Financial aid is limited, so please submit your request early. FACTS Grant Aid & Assessment Application
If you need to change your payment plan. Login to FACTS to update it. If you have questions about FACTS or Grant Aid email Pam Kimber or call 507.453.5014.
If you have updates to your family status or address, please submit those directly to our Admissions Office at 507-453-5016.

Step 1: Create An Online Account
To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account.
You will receive an email asking you to verify your email address before starting your online application.
Step 2: Complete Online Application
Please complete the Online Application forms listed in the left menu of online application, beginning with the Applicant Information form. Applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis. Preference is given to those who apply by April 1.
Step 3: Submit Supplemental Documents
Our admissions staff with work with you to complete your application
Step 4: Prepare For An Interview
Once your completed application is received, the Admissions office will contact you to setup an interview.
Step 5: Admissions Decision
Admissions decisions will be sent three (3) business days after the interview.
If offered admission to Cotter Schools after the application review and interview, the family can accept admission with an enrollment deposit and signed enrollment contract. Please note this deposit is refundable if you do not obtain your F-1 visa (if applicable).
Step 6: Complete Student Visa Interview (International)
After the enrollment deposit and contract are received, Cotter Schools will issue an I-20 and the family must make an appointment for F-1 student visa. For more information about student visas, go to the U.S. Immigration and Custom's Enforcement (ICE) website.
Step 7: Complete School Enrollment Forms
