Schedule an Interview

In order to keep our community as safe and healthy as possible in the midst of COVID-19, we are currently not allowing visitors to campus for the foreseeable future. If health conditions allow a change to this policy, we will inform prospective students and their families. We understand that you want to learn more about Vermont Academy, and we’re excited to help you explore! Complete our online Inquiry Form to receive personal invitations to our virtual interviews and events. Interviews are currently conducted virtually via Zoom. The interview should last approximately 20 minutes. We reserve a total of 45 minutes for your appointment to ensure time for questions. Register for Testing

The Character Skills Snapshot testing is required for all students. Vermont Academy's admission process is holistic and, consistent with our mission, places a premium on character as well as excellence. Take the Character Skills Snapshot.

For applicants who are not native English-speakers and/or have not attended school where English is the language of instruction during the last two years, Vermont Academy requires secondary language testing.

All other forms of testing are optional for the school year

Any students with diagnosed learning differences must submit educational testing

Vermont Academy offers two application options: The Standard Application Online (Preferred) or Gateway to Prep Schools Application.

Financial Aid

For students who are applying for financial aid, please complete the financial aid application by February 1st. More information on financial aid at Vermont Academy.

Important Dates

• November 1: Early-decision applications for Post Graduates and International students will be accepted on a rolling basis starting Nov 1.
• February 1: Application and financial aid deadline*
• March 10: Admissions decisions sent to students and families
• April 10: Enrollment contract and deposit due

*After February 1, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
