North Country School welcomes students from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our community is enriched by children from countries around the world, children who have lived abroad, and children for whom English is not a first language. International students are active participants in the North Country School community and take part in all aspects of the academic, art, farm, outdoor, and residential programs. North Country School is authorized to issue I-20s for students who need an F-1 visa to attend school in the US.
Both our domestic and international students benefit from our secondary school placement program in which 9th-grade students are guided through the process of selecting and applying to highly selective boarding schools for grades 10-12.
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides support for students who are non-native English speakers. These applicants are encouraged to submit TOEFL Junior, TOEFL iBT, and/or SSAT test scores as part of their application (TOEFL code B088).
As part of the North Country School application process, all students have either a Skype/Zoom interview or an on-campus interview. Information about travel to North Country School is available on our Visit page.
