Application Procedure

We are committed to giving each applicant personal attention and care, as choosing a school is a critical decision for the student and their family.

In accordance with state and federal laws, Asia Pacific International School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, gender, age or disability in areas of admission, financial aid, or other school administered programs.

Kindergarten Age Requirements

A child must be five years old by December 31st of the year of entry for admission into Kindergarten.

STEP 1

Submit Standard Application Online (SAO) and pay application fee.

Complete the Standard Application Online. Our school code is 1401.

• The non-refundable application fee is $50 for all applicants. The online application will prompt you to pay the fee.

STEP 2

Submit school records.

To ensure students successfully transition to our school, we require an official transcript or report cards from at least the last two years. Use this RECORDS RELEASE FORM, if the applicant’s current school requires it.

• While we do not require standardized test scores (SSAT, SBA, PSAT, TOEFL, etc.), families may submit test scoresto give us more information to support your child.

STEP 3

Send two recommendations.

To learn more about a student academically and socially, we require two recommendation letters:

• from a teacher
• from any person who knows the child well, like a family friend, coach, counselor, or chaplain

Recommendation letters can be completed via the SAO or emailed to admissions@apishawaii.org

STEP 4

Interview in person or online.

For us to get to know the student as an individual as well as for the student to get to know our personalized, project-based educational approach, we require an interview on our campus or online. Our admissions officer will schedule an interview with families who have submitted an application.

STEP 5

Wait for application response.

Once the application materials are submitted and the interview is complete, we will send an email about the applicant’s acceptance status. If accepted, additional information about the enrollment process will be included.

STEP 5.5

International students only: Apply for F-1 student visa.

• Send a copy of your passport and bank statement to admissions@apishawaii.org
• APIS will issue a Form I-20.
• Bring the Form I-20 to your home country embassy or consulate, and complete the application process for a F-1 student visa.
• Notify admissions@apishawaii.org when you receive your F-1 student visa.

Step 6

Complete enrollment forms and pay tuition.

Sign and submit the enrollment forms, including health forms with Tuberculosis (TB) test. Pay the tuition.
