Our friendly and experienced Admissions team will support you through the process of applying to Radley College. Our entry assessment starts in Year 6, so we encourage applicants to register with us by the start of the Summer Term of Year 5. We welcome registration from birth.

We are looking for kind, talented and ambitious boys who will thrive in a boarding environment. We are an academically selective school and our assessment reflects this but we are most interested in boys who will make the most of every opportunity and significantly contribute to Radley life.

Every boy will have a slightly different journey to entry so we have outlined a ‘typical’ process with key milestones so you know what to expect and when. Please share your son’s name, date of birth and citizenship in the calculator below and we will share the most appropriate routemap and application forms.

Funding

Our generous financial awards programmes allow us to bring the best and most deserving boys to Radley. At the heart of every award is the celebration of ambition, talent and potential.

Awards can be made at 11+, 13+ and 16+ (Years 7, 9, 12). The strongest candidates will be guaranteed funding when they receive their unconditional offer. Some awards are dependent on successfully securing one of our six scholarships (Academic, Art, Drama, Innovation, Music or Sport).

Last year, we spent more than three million pounds supporting 103 boys but our ambition goes beyond this. We are committed to increasing the amount of funding available year-on-year to reach a point where 10% of boys will pay no fees and up to 200 more will receive some level of financial support.

Eligibility Calculator
If you will need financial support to come to Radley, we encourage you to apply. All financial awards are means-tested. The means-test process takes a bespoke review of your particular circumstances and takes account of income and expenditure as well as assets and liabilities. Our Admissions Team will support you throughout the whole process.

Scholarships

We are proud to celebrate and reward excellence through Scholarships and Exhibitions.

We welcome applications for Academic, Art, Drama, Innovation, Music and Sport awards for 13+ Entry, which are assessed in the Michaelmas and Lent Terms of Year 8. Scholarships and Exhibitions are honorary and do not carry any fee remission, but scholarship candidates requiring financial support are encouraged to apply for means-tested funding through The Warden’s Award.

All scholarship applications must be supported by references from the candidate’s current school and external coaches/teachers if relevant.

Applications from non-registered candidates (boys who do not currently have an offer from Radley) are welcomed at this stage. Applicants will be assessed as below but will also be interviewed by a member of the Senior Management Team and will be required to sit papers in English and Maths.
