Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Principia School. We hope you enjoy learning more about us, and we’re eager to share our community with you.

Principia School is an independent, co-educational college preparatory school welcoming local students (preschool through grade 12) from a range of faith backgrounds who value a spiritually based approach to character development and education as well as boarding students (grades 7–12) from around the world who are Christian Scientists.

If you're looking for a school that will inspire your child's desire to learn, to serve, and to strive for excellence, we'd love to meet you!

Apply

The admissions process at Principia is intended to help us get to know students and families and help you determine if we’re a fit for your family. Although it’s comprehensive, it’s also highly personalized, and we strive to make it as hassle-free as possible.

It's not too late to apply!

Our late application deadline is July 15th of current year.

Principia seeks students who are excited to learn, who give selflessly, who love God with all their heart, love their neighbor as themselves (Matthew 22: 37–39), and are ready to lean into their education and break through limitations.

Principia seeks families who love good and are eager to develop in their children a desire “to think clearly, vigorously, fearlessly, tolerantly, unselfishly” (Principia Policy 6). We partner with families who are curious about fostering a love of God in all that they do and intentionally support their child’s academic and spiritual development at home. Healing and progress is an expectation at Principia, and we seek to help students grow and develop their own spiritual understanding.

Virtual Visits

Upcoming Virtual Visit Dates

  • Monday, June 22
  • Independent visits may be scheduled

Meeting our teachers and students in person and seeing our 360-acre campus in action is the best way to experience Principia School. But, like others, we've transitioned to remote learning.

Although our campus isn't open to students or visitors, we are open for virtual visits. Prospective parents and students (kindergarten through grade 11) are invited to join us via Zoom for a visit. Our next visit is scheduled for Monday, June 22.

If you have questions or would like to know more about our virtual visits, please contact us.

Scheduling Your Visit

The virtual visit will take approximately two hours and includes these activities:

  • a pictorial tour of campus, facilities, and key learning spaces
  • a live Q&A session with our head of school and administrators
  • time to hear from some of our student leaders

We are excited to introduce your family to our wonderfully unique and innovative learning community.

To arrange your visit, click below and complete the request form. Once we receive it, a member of our Admissions team will contact you to learn more about your family and answer any questions you have about Principia School.
