UK Admission

We welcome new students at any entry point in the school and at any time of year.

UK Entry Steps

Visit Us
We encourage you to come and visit us on either one of our scheduled upcoming Open Events or by booking a tour.

Trial and Assessment
All students seeking entry to the school are invited to attend a trial day.

The trial day enables your child to spend a day in school with their year group to see if it is the right school for them. We will try and arrange a day where the majority of your child's favourite subjects are taught and will allocate a 'buddy' to accompany them during the day. During the trial day, assessments in Mathematics and English may be carried out as well as informal assessments by subject teachers.

At the end of the day a meeting will be held with the Principal to discuss how the day went.

Formal Offer

  • if we feel it appropriate, a formal offer in writing will be made and a deposit will be required to secure a place.
  • If for any reason we are unable to offer a place we will notify you in writing.

We also offer international students the opportunity to join our Pre A Level programme, and progress to university through the International Foundation Diploma.

With 16 nationalities represented at Chase, our international students would be joining a diverse student body in our British boarding school and our flexible approach means we are able to have students start with us throughout the academic year.

We offer a range of scholarships and our all-inclusive fee covers;

  • The opportunity to stay over all three half-term holidays
  • Tuition
  • Accommodation

Where possible, we regularly meet families in their own country for international parents events. We are also very happy to do virtual chats with parents throughout the academic year.

We work with a wide network of agents across the world who are there to help guide students through our admissions process and the UK visa application procedure from their home country.

If you would like to know the details of your nearest agents or would like to arrange to meet with us in your own country to discuss your options then please contact us and we will be delighted to connect you

The International Admissions Process Involves Five Key Steps:

Contact Us or An Agenta
The first step in applying to Chase Grammar School is to get in touch with us, or an agent based in your country. We can always help to put you in touch with a local agent should you need one, but email us or call us for an initial chat about a place for your child.

Interview & Assessment
All students seeking entry to the school are required to have a video interview with the international team in the school. This is to answer any questions the student or the family may have. It also gives us the chance to take you on a virtual tour of the school showing our boarding facilities and classrooms.

Following this a 1 hour assessment will need to be completed by the student. This is to establish levels of English and Maths so that when the student starts with us they are put into the right classes.

Formal Offer
Following the interview and assessment a student may receive a formal offer from the school. This offer may come with a scholarship, reducing the overall cost to the family.

Offer Acceptance
Once the offer is made, it is formally accepted by the family completing our form of acceptance and paying the deposit to the school. This will then allow the school to start the visa process. Once the student has the visa they are free to come to the school and start with us in person. Until that point the student may be able to study online with us, ensuring they do not miss out on their studies.

Visa is Issued
Upon payment of the deposit, Chase Grammar School will then issue the family with a CAS number. This number is required for when a student applies for the visa to come to the UK. Both the agent and Chase Grammar School will support families through the visa application process.

Prep Admission

We are happy to admit students at any time during the academic year and into any year group at Lyncroft House Preparatory, at Chase Grammar School.

We invite you to come and book a tour or attend one of our open events to view the school.

From there we will then arrange a trial day to allow your child to experience the school for themselves. They will spend time with their class and begin to establish new bonds with new peers. We ask for copies of latest school reports, alongside which we will complete our own entry tests.

At the end of the trial day, you and your child will meet with the Principal, Mr Hartland or the Vice Principal Mrs Simpson, who will discuss the next step
