Admission Policy

Michaelhouse is non-sectarian in its admission policy. Entry in E Block (Grade 8) level is determined by previous academic performance, a personal interview with the Rector or a Deputy Rector, a copy of the most recent school report and a confidential report from the applicant’s Headmaster.

Entrance Procedure

Boys are admitted to D and C Blocks (Grades 9 and 10) only if a place becomes available. Entry is determined by previous academic performance, a personal interview with the Rector, a copy of the most recent school report and a confidential report from the applicant’s Headmaster.

Registration

Registration may be completed at any time from the applicant’s birth onwards, preferably by no later than the end of his Grade 6 year. During the Grade 6 year the registered applicant and his parents are required to visit Michaelhouse for a tour of the School and an interview with the Rector.

All registrations for possible entry into Michaelhouse in 2029 and beyond will not attract the R950.00 registration fee. Applications received after 31 January for Grade 8  will be placed on our wait list. No application will be processed without proof of payment.

Upon submission of this form and payment of the required registration fee, please note that: Michaelhouse reserves the right to conduct any credit bureau searches it deems necessary on any application to satisfy itself that the parents can afford the fees and extras charged by Michaelhouse.

This application will be processed on receipt of the R950 registration fee made payable to “Michaelhouse”.
