Becoming an Aiglonian is a life-changing process - one we do everything possible to ensure is both positive and fulfilling.
Affording us the privilege of your application is a responsibility that we approach with care and attention. We strive to make the admissions process as personalised and positive as we hope your time with Aiglon will be. Applications may be submitted up to one year in advance allowing families flexibility without the pressure of strict deadlines. However, Aiglon makes admissions offers two times per year for the academic year ahead.
Your enquiry is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.
Upon submission, you will be contacted by a member of our team who will remain your main point of contact throughout the process. Together, we can begin the conversation regarding your family's needs and goals, with a view to helping you discover the suitability of the challenges offered by an Aiglon education.
We can provide you with any materials that you may need, make contact with key members of staff to answer specific questions, and if you would like, begin the process to arrange an initial enquiry visit.
We consider it essential that students and their families make at least one visit to experience Aiglon. In choosing the right school – particularly in a boarding situation – it is important that you experience something of the environment that will become your child’s home. We offer two types of visits, each with scope to be tailored in order to get the most out of your time with us:
Initial enquiry visit: A short visit structured as a brief introduction to Aiglon. Meet with our admissions team for a discussion about your potential application and take a tour of the campus.
Admissions visit: A required aspect of your applications journey, these visits are efficient yet thorough. In addition to a campus tour and meeting our admissions team, we organise an interview with the Director of Admissions and the Head of School. We can also organise any number of experiences to help your child imagine themselves here.
Once you have all of the information you need, it's time to ensure that you fully complete our application package. Create a profile on our Admissions Portal and submit the required details.
Upon receipt of the completed application pack, our team will work with you to prepare for the next step in your Aiglon journey, the interview and testing.
Our assessments are designed to be part of an ongoing conversation - ensuring that the student is well suited for the challenges Aiglon has to offer, and that Aiglon is the best environment to nurture their talents in return. Our assessments take two forms:
Assessment Interview
The interview-based assessment is a discussion between the family and our Director of Admissions & Marketing and Head of School. This is an opportunity for both student and family to begin to make a deeper connection with Aiglon and engage in an interesting and stimulating discussion. We are always curious to learn about where a potential student's enthusiasms lay, how their talents may fit into any plans they have, and – ultimately – how we can help to nurture their existing gifts and introduce them to new challenges.
Abilities Assessment
We are not only looking for students who achieve high scores. Rather, these exams help us to understand where a student’s strengths lie and also identify areas where they may need additional guidance – perhaps even areas we can suggest they would benefit from preparation prior to joining Aiglon. These tests are an honest reflection of suitability, academic ability, and areas for potential growth. These assessments are undertaken in the following areas:
English Proficiency
General Ability
Maths
It is our hope that by this point in the applications process, above all else, that your family has begun to form a positive and lasting relationship with Aiglon, our faculty, and perhaps some of the students.
The final decision-making process is centred around the discussions that have been developing between our family and your own, and understanding how suitable we are for one another. Our Director of Admissions & Marketing will complete the review process, in consultation with the Head of School.
Applications can be submitted one year in advance of the intended enrolment date. Due to the limited number of places available to new students each year, Aiglon makes admissions offers two times per year. The first round of offers are made during the first week of December and the second round during the last week of February each year. Any additional places still available after the second round of offers will be allocated on a rolling basis.
Once you have received a positive admissions decisions, you will then receive all the relevant enrollment information in order to continue your journey with Aiglon.
