Our admissions criteria are designed to ensure that students have the necessary skills to engage with the English curriculum effectively. Additionally, as part of our admission process, we carefully evaluate the provisions available within our school to guarantee that we can provide comprehensive support to all admitted students. This assessment is particularly crucial for students with learning difficulties or special educational needs, as we are committed to offering them the tailored assistance and resources they require to thrive in our educational environment. The school will be accepting applications for students in KG1 – Grade 8.

Children enrolling in KG1 must be four years old on or before August 31st. Similarly, children enrolling in KG2 must be five years old on or before August 31st.

How to Apply

The admissions assessment is essential for proper student placement and instructional program planning. Therefore, our assessment process is designed to provide as much information as possible on incoming students’ capacities. The assessment data will inform classroom lesson planning and identify the need for intervention or additional student support.

Required Documents

  • Passport size photograph for the applicant
  • A copy of the applicant's passport, and (visa page for non-UAE citizens)
  • A copy of the parent's passport, and (visa page for non-UAE citizens)
  • A copy of the applicant’s Emirates ID (front & back) - please note that according to ADEK’s regulations, an applicant without a UAE national ID will not be accepted in the school
  • A copy of the parents’ Emirates ID (front & back)
  • A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate
  • A copy of the applicant’s vaccination card
  • A copy of the full family book (for UAE nationals only)
  • A copy of the final report card or the most recent report if not available at the time of admission
  • An official, attested transfer certificate if the student is transferring from a public school within Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, or if transferring from any school in other emirates
  • A copy of the electricity or water bill to show the residential address in the UAE
  • First-time enrollments (KGs or Grade 1) are required to provide the school’s registration office with the student and parent Emirates ID card

Entry Requirements

Eligibility is based on the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) rules that specify the minimum age for admission.

Liwa International School – Al Qattara admits students according to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge and the school policies. LISQ entrance exams and assessments are designed to assess school readiness and determine the academic skill levels of entering students.
