Online Enrolment Application - Now Open for Year 7 and Year 9

Along with the Online Application, there are several supporting documents required in order to complete an enrolment application. These documents include:

  • Preference of Enrolment Certificate (signed by your Parish Priest)
  • Supplementary Application Information
  • Application for Boarding (if applicable)

You will also be required to submit (as PDF) a copy of the following:

  • Copy of Baptismal Certificate and First Communion Certificate (if applicable)
  • Copy of Birth Certificate (preferable) or Passport
  • Copy of New Zealand Residency or Work Permit (if applicable)
  • Copy of the most recent full school report
  • Educational Psychology Report, or similar (if applicable)
  • Immunisation Certificate from your GP (Plunket book not accepted)

Enrolment timeline - approximate timeframes

The enrolment process is conducted annually, with the following time frame:

  • Tuesday, 7 February – Online applications open for Year 7 & Year 9 Day boys and Year 9 Boarders
  • Wednesday, 8 March – Open Day. Morning session at 10am, afternoon session at 1pm
  • Friday, 31 March – Applications close for Year 7 and 9 Day Boys
  • Interviews for Year 7 - 16 & 17 May
  • Interviews for Year 9 - 23 & 24 May
  • July – Families of Year 7 and 9 Day Boys will be advised of their application outcomes
  • Term 3 – Enrolment for other Year Levels (8, 10-13) for the following year open. Please note, there are very limited places available across these Year Levels. Applications close end of Term 3.

Boarding Enrolment

Enrolment for boarders at Sacred Heart is primarily for students in Year 9, with limited spaces available in other year levels. Consistent with the Special Character of the College, preference is given to families with an established connection to the Catholic Church, and in accordance with the revised guidelines approved by the Catholic Bishops of New Zealand.
