One of the key factors in the success of any school is support from home. At Michael Park we follow the philosophy and pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner and recognise and respect the developmental stage of each individual.
Our primary criteria for enrolment of students is, therefore, that families have an active connection with, and ongoing commitment to, Steiner education and the special character of Michael Park.
We enrol new students at set times each year, usually at the start of a term. Our enrolment process is the same for Kindergarten, Primary and High School, as outlined below. More detailed information can be obtained from our enrolment officer, by emailing enrolments@michaelpark.school.nz
Pre-enrolment Process
- Pre-enrolment interest should be registered by completing our ‘Expression of interest form’ and emailing it to enrolments@michaelpark.school.nz. This will add you to our database and mailing list.
- To support your journey to deeper understanding of Steiner education, all families must attend one of our termly interactive special character events.
- In addition, we ask that families attend one of our Open Days, when available.
- Applications will then be considered against our list of priorities for enrolment. At this stage, our enrolment officer
Enrolment Process
- When a place becomes available, the family will be asked to provide the three most recent reports for their child, any other relevant documentation and, their child’s current school will be contacted (as applicable).
- Families will be invited for interview.
- If successful, we will then work with families to confirm finance, start date, etc.
