Choosing which school is right for your child is probably one of the biggest and most important decisions you will make. At TISB we aim to make the transition as easy as possible, and are here to help every step of the way.

As an international school in Bangalore serving applicants from around the world, we understand the need to be flexible to accommodate unique requirements, and therefore welcome applications from students throughout the year, subject to Grade Level availability.

We welcome the admission of students throughout the year, subject to availability in the Grade Levels, and our Admissions Department will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Step 1: Contact the Admissions Department

  • Please complete the Enquiry Form to express and interest, and a member of the team will contact you.

Step 2: Attend an Open Morning

  • Throughout the year we would usually hold a number of Open Mornings which allow you to get a feel for the school, meet key members of staff and ask any questions you may have. During the COVID-19 pandemic we will be holding Virtual Open Mornings, and hope you will join us
  • Online Entrance Assessments will be held on specific days after the Open Mornings.
  • Book an Open Morning Event

Step 3: Make an Application

Applicants will be required to submit the following information to the Admissions Department to proceed with an application

  • Application Form
  • Previous two years' school reports (including current year)
  • Copy of passport
  • Registration Fee

Step 4: Sit an Entrance Assessment

  • Once your Application Form and Fee have been received, applicants will be required to take an Online Entrance Assessment.
  • Successful applicants will be invited for a Skype interview before a decision on their application is decided on.

Step 5: Offer of A Place

  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 2 to 3 weeks of sitting the Entrance Assessment.

Step 6: Acceptance of a Place

  • Applicants are asked to confirm their acceptance of a place within 2 weeks of receiving the admission offer letter and pay the required school fees as detailed in the invoice.

Entrance Requirements

Our teaching is based on the Cambridge International Curriculum until Grade 10 and International Baccalaureate for Grades 11 and 12. All lessons are taught in English. Applicants are required to take an Online Entrance Assessment and interviews are carried out via Skype.

A decision on offering a place at TISB will be made taking into account the Entrance Assessment, Interview and reports from the applicant’s previous school. We will also consider whether we feel a pupil will flourish at TISB and whether the school is able to provide adequately for their needs.

Pre-KG – Lower Grade 1

There is no Entrance Assessment carried out for applicants in these grade levels. Applicants will have an informal interview with the Deputy Principals of Primary Years.

Upper Grade 1 – Grade 5

Applicants will sit an Entrance Assessment in English and Mathematics and will have an informal interview with the Deputy Principals of Primary Years.

Grade 6 - 11

Applicants will be required to sit an Entrance Assessment in English, Mathematics and Non-verbal Reasoning. Successful applicants will have an interview.
