IB Scholarships

TBS invites applications for two scholarships being offered to students interested in our two-year IB programme. The scholarship is open to talented and high-performing students from across schools in the region, interested in accessing high-quality international education.

Admission Is Dependent Upon

• a place being available in the year group;
• the ability of the applicant to demonstrate that they can benefit from the education provided by The British School; and
• that they would complement the international character of the school’s student population.

Registration Timeline

• Registration can only be done online.
• Application will be placed on the waiting list only after payment has been received.
• Applicants must have reached the relevant age for the year group by 1 September. However, the school reserves the right to place an applicant in the year it deems appropriate.

Admission Process

Our Admissions team will help you with a smooth entry, all the way from registration until your child joins the school through our 4-step admission process.

Step 1: Registration

Registration is only possible  online.

To complete the registration process the following must be uploaded:

• Photocopy of the child's passport and visa (latter where applicable)
• Photocopy of the parents' passports, if diplomats
• Coloured passport sized photograph of the child

Applicants must pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 20,000 for the registration to be completed. he payment can only be made online.

Your application will be put on the waiting list and will be valid for a duration of 1 academic year from the date of registration.

Step 2: Submission of documents

Once a place becomes available, you will be asked to submit the following documents:

• A copy of the school reports of the last 2-3 years (in English)
• A confidential recommendation form filled in by a previous teacher, sent directly to the Admissions team
• Health form

Step 3: One-on-one interaction

After the above has been received, all applicants will be invited for an interaction to help us learn about their capabilities and identify any special needs.

Applicants for Years 1-12 undergo an age appropriate assessment/ interaction which includes some English, Maths and non-verbal skills. These interactions do not require any prior content based preparation.

Choice of subjects for the IB Diploma programme is determined by the above-mentioned process. In case of higher-level subjects, the applicant will be expected to have attained minimum grades.

Assessments and interactions take place at The British School when onsite or online depending on your location.

Step 4: Offer of admission

An offer of admission is made once the above criteria and assessment have been successfully cleared.

Do remember:

• Parents must accept the terms and conditions of admission.
• An offer of admission must be accepted or rejected within five working days.
• Upon acceptance of the place, students residing in India must pay the fee within five working days of the receipt of the invoice. Fee for students residing overseas is to be paid in ten working days of the receipt of the invoice.
• The school reserves the right to offer the place to the next available candidate, if:

  • the place is not accepted within five working days from the date of offer, or

  • payment is not made within the specified period of time.

Important Points to Note Before You Begin the Application

• Use your laptop/desktop and avoid using the phone to fill in the form.
• This application form works best on Chrome/Internet Explorer.
• In order to make edits to the application form, access it from the home page by choosing the application by number and then edit form.
• If you are applying for more than one child please use the Add new form tab on the home page. You can add up to 5 children.
• In case you already have a child in school please refer to your fee invoice for the family code (required in the form). This is for brothers & sisters only.
• Documents required to be uploaded should be below 500 KB in size. Formats supported are - gif, .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .wmf, .doc, .pdf, .docx
  • Passport of applicant
  • Passport sized photograph (.jpg)
  • Birth certificate (if no passport)
• Registration includes a payment of INR 20,000 to be made online. Payment options come up after the form is submitted. This is non-refundable.
• Payment of registration fee does not guarantee admission. Please read more details on the fee structure page of our website.
• Offers for places will be made according to the admission criteria and will be subject to vacancies.
