Admissions Process

QSI Astana receives applications year round to accommodate for various school year patterns. We know you could be relocating to our city at any time of the year and we want to welcome your child to start school with us as soon as you arrive!

Applications are accepted throughout the year, and students are admitted based on space availability. Please refer to the following steps to complete the admissions process.

How to Apply to QSIA

1. Visit the school

Interested parents may call the School Receptionist at +7 7172-277-760 or send an email to [email protected] in order to make an appointment to visit our campus.

Our admissions staff will lead a tour of our campus facilities and classrooms, describe the learning program, and introduce prospective families to the Director and other administrators.

2. Complete and submit the Application forms and necessary documents

• Online application form
• Submit a copy of student passport and/or birth certificate
• Submit immunization records
• Provide 1 passport-sized photo of student and parents
• Provide previous school records

3. Pay the fee

Pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $300 USD.

4. Placement Test and Interview

Schedule a time to take the school’s placement test and sit for an interview with the Director of Instruction.

QSIA Placement Test Information:

• QSI uses the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) computerized adaptive test to provide placement data.
• Students ages 5 and up will take the MAP entrance test evaluating the student’s knowledge in Reading, Mathematics, and Language Usage. All three tests are given in the English language.
• Students ages 8 and older also complete a written essay.
