Admission Guidelines
Admission requirements and student selection
- At the Lycée Français Jean Mermoz, we've created a strong and stimulating private school environment with students from different cultural backgrounds.
- Our students are selected on the basis of their interpersonal skills and character, as well as their ability to cope with a demanding academic environment. We will ask your child to take an interview and a few tests to find out more about him or her, either face-to-face or online.
- We make a point of getting to know students and parents when you apply. Our admissions team will meet with you to find out more about your child's previous education and experiences, and will talk to your current school whenever possible.
- As an international school, we understand that language skills are essential in the modern world. We teach in French, but offer the opportunity to study a wide range of languages from an early age. Arabic and English are part of the curriculum from kindergarten onwards. Spanish is offered from the start of secondary school.
- We strive to place students in groups of similar age. The transition from one school system to another is not always straightforward, so we will discuss with you beforehand which group is best suited to your child.
- We cannot consider a student's application for admission if we have not received the current school year's report cards from the previous school year.
Please note that providing incorrect or incomplete information will invalidate your application.
