For over 10 years, RIS has welcomed students from all over the world, many of whom had previously followed different curricula. We are proud of our visible commitment to diversity and international mindedness.
Our main admissions intake is at the start of the academic year in September, however we admit students throughout the year depending on availability of places.
We have included the key admissions information below but we know that where families are transferring to Dubai from other countries, there may be many more considerations. For this reason, we would strongly advise you contact our admissions team directly, so that we can provide you with individual guidance and support, particularly regarding documentation that may be required by the school and the UAE regulatory authorities.
Application
To begin the admissions process please complete the Online Application Form.
To request for a call back for further information please fill in our Enquiry Form.
Assessment
Following receipt of your application and providing a space is available, a member of the admissions team will contact you to arrange an assessment/interview for your child(ren), FS1 to Year 13. Assessments take place between 10:00am and 12:00pm Mondy to Firday at RIS by appointment only.
Prospective students studying outside of Dubai may undertake the assessment in their current school, this arrangement is subject to conditions.
There is a non-refundable AED 500 assessment fee, payable on the day of the assessment. The school is fully inclusive and all efforts are made to accommodate different learning needs and styles. Students needing additional support may be admitted if assessment indicates that the school can offer that support and that with help, the child would benefit from learning in a mainstream classroom.
Once the assessment has taken place, a member of our senior academic team will review the results and previous school reports.
Within 2 working days from the date of assessment, successful applicants will receive a formal offer letter valid for five days from receipt. If no places are available at the time, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified once a place becomes available.
Age requirements will change for new students enrolled in FS1, according to the UAE Ministry of Education Resolution no (24).
Children enrolling in FS1 in schools starting in September must be three years old on or before August 31 of that year.
Children enrolling in FS2 must be four years old on or before August 31 for schools starting in September.
Similarly, children enrolling in Year 1 must be five years old on or before August 31 for schools starting in September.
The MoE resolution stipulates that all students currently enrolled at private schools in the UAE are not affected by the change. This includes students who enrol for the final term of the academic year.
