Students are admitted to the United Arab Emirates University on a competitive basis, based on an assessment of their academic qualifications and the educational capabilities of the academic programs, and within the available capacity of each college. Admission to the United Arab Emirates University is based on the admission policy issued by the university annually according to the criteria specified for each category.

All students wishing to join the university must submit their application forms during the periods announced on the website of the Ministry of Education and the official website of the university , according to their categories.
To meet the needs of UAE society, all 9 colleges at the United Arab Emirates University have established graduate programs in multiple disciplines. Students can apply online for the following graduate programs.
"Meeting the minimum requirement for admission to Master and Doctorate programs does not guarantee admission." UAEU has a competitive criteria for admitting students which takes into account the credentials of the applicants and where have they been graduated from.
